Gurudwara Ramsar Sahib – Amritsar

Gurudwara Ramsar Sahib, situated on the banks of Ramsar Sarovar in Amritsar, is a revered historical site. It is here that Guru Arjun Dev, along with Bhai Gurdas, compiled the sacred Adi Granth, which was later installed in the Golden Temple in 1604. This holy scripture embodies the teachings of the Sikh Gurus and selected writings from Hindu and Muslim saints, emphasizing the unity of God and the brotherhood of mankind. Guru Gobind Singh later bestowed the status of the eternal Guru upon the Guru Granth Sahib, making Gurudwara Ramsar a site of immense spiritual importance.

Nanak Jhira Sahib – Bidar

During his second journey to South India, Guru Nanak Dev Ji reached Bidar and saw the people struggling for clean water. Moved by their plight, he touched a hillside and removed a stone, revealing a fresh water spring, now known as Nanak Jhira. A Gurudwara stands at the site, with the sacred water collected in an Amrit Kund. The Gurudwara also serves Guru Ka Langar, offering free meals to visitors, reflecting Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s message of selfless service.
