Guru Hargobind in 1644 and Guru Har Rai in 1661 were cremated here. The ashes of Guru Harkrishna were brought from Delhi and immersed here in 1664. The Gurudwara is situated in a large plot of land of more than 1 km square and has a large Darbar Sahib with a Langar Hall located nearby. A small pond is located near the toilet and shower facilities. A footbridge is located to connect the devotees to the river bank. Ample car parking space is available in the Gurudwara grounds. The main entrance of the Gurdwara is from the rear of the main building. The Garden and Living Room are located on the right side of the main building. Patalpuri Sahib, This famous historical Gurudwara is established in Kiratpur Sahib on the banks of Sutlej River. The Darshan Mandap of the main Gurudwara is huge. It is about 150×80 feet wide. The Sri Guru Granth Sahib is enshrined in a marble palanquin in the middle of the mandap. There is a circumambulation path all around. Gurudwara Patalpuri Sahib is a special Gurudwara. In this, like Haridwar and Kashi, the Sikh community comes to flow the ashes of the deceased member. Hence it is a special pilgrimage of the Sikh community. Gurudwara Patalpuri Sahib is spread over an area of ​​25 acres. Langar Hall, a guest house, which has more than 150 rooms, ten halls and offices are built. There is a lake for bathing in the premises in which the devotees take bath.
