Upon touching it again, Guru Sahib brought it back to life. This event, symbolizing divine will and a stand against human trafficking, gave the site its name “Mar Jiwala.” The Gurudwara commemorates this powerful moment and serves as a place of reflection and faith.

Gurudwara Korhiwala Ghat Sahib is linked to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s third Udasi in 1514 AD. Rejected by villagers, Guru Ji spent the night at a leper’s hut, offering solace through kirtan. With Guru Ji’s blessings, the leper bathed in a nearby pond and was miraculously cured. Witnessing this, the villagers sought forgiveness, and Guru Ji advised them to build a rest house for travelers. Today, the gurudwara stands at this sacred site, managed by the Karsewa organization, with grand celebrations for Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birthday and Baisakhi.
