Here devotee Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj had done penance for many years at this place. Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj was an ardent and ardent devotee of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Shri Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj received the darshan of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji through Guru Granth Sahib at this place Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj did penance for Guru Nanak Dev Ji here till 1943. After this he left his body. Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj had made this place raw. After his death, Baba Ishwar Singh Ji Maharaj became the successor of Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj. Those who made this place permanent Gurudwara Nanaksar was made permanent between 1943 and 1963. After this Baba Ishwar Singh Ji Sarovar was constructed in Gurudwara Nanaksar Sahib. About which it is said that by taking a bath in the lake, all sorrows, pains and diseases are cured. Due to this belief, even today thousands of devotees bathe in the lake everyday. The area of Gurudwara Nanaksar Sahib is spread over an area of about 50 acres. Darbar Sahib is 200×150 and is about 50 feet high. The importance of this place is understood even more because here Baba Ishwar Singh Ji Maharaj sprinkled nectar to seven and a half lakh devotees at this place. The Sri Guru Granth Sahib is enshrined on the Palki Sahib at the Sheesh Mahal of Gurdwara Sahib. Sheesh Mahal is behind Sachkhand Sahib, it has 12 doors. Inside it is Sri Guru Granth Sahib, it contains the text of Sukhmani Sahib. Bhora Sahib is the place established in the basement, where Baba Nand Sahib Ji Maharaj did penance. Money is not offered in front of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Gurudwara Nanaksar Sahib. This is the order of Guru ji. No receipt is even deducted here. If any devotee wants to serve Darbar Sahib then that devotee can serve the goods. Donations of food, clothes and gold are also not accepted here. Here instead of pudding, only sugar candy is offered in Prasad.
