Gurudwara Guru Amardas , Dhunni

A village of Tehsil and district Hafizabad is popularly known as Dhunni. A metalled leads to Dhunni from Hafizabad. Another village by the name of Vinni precedes it. There is Gurdwara in the village Vinni. One shoe of Guru Amardas Ji was kept in this Gurdwara which was 11 inches long and 3 inches wide at the toe. Bhai Cheena Mal (Peera Mal) was a devotee and follower of the Guru Ji. Gur was pleased with him and granted him one pair of his shoes. One of the shoes was kept h while the other was kept in village Madar of tehsil Nankana Sahib (Distt. Sheikhupura). P suffering from Hajeeran (Cervical Lymphadenopathy) used to visit both the places and touched th cheeks against the shoes to get rid of the disease.The Gurdwara is now in the centre of the village. There is a hall which has four doors. It presently under the occupation of refugees from Ambala. The Gurdwara is built with brick while floors are done in black and white glazed tiles. The ceiling is sixteen feet high. The land assigned this Gurdwara is in this village as well as in some other villages.
