Gurudwara Guptsar Sahib is a sacred Sikh shrine located in the village of Chhattiana in Sri Muktsar Sahib district of Punjab. According to Sikh tradition, an inspiring event took place during Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s visit to Chhattiana village. At that time, a Muslim recluse named Peer Sayyad Ibrahim lived in the area. He was known for living a life of meditation and devotion. When he encountered Guru Gobind Singh Ji and experienced the Guru’s divine presence, he was deeply moved and spiritually transformed.

Inspired by the teachings of Guru Ji, Peer Sayyad Ibrahim embraced Sikhism and was given the name Ajmer Singh. His acceptance of the Sikh faith at this very site is remembered as a powerful example of the Guru’s spiritual influence and the inclusive nature of Sikhism. Today, Gurudwara Guptsar Sahib stands as a symbol of faith, unity and the universal message of Sikh teachings that welcome people from every background.
