Gurudwara Guptsar Sahib
Gurudwara Guptsar Sahib is a sacred Sikh shrine located in Chhattiana village, within the Sri Muktsar Sahib district of Punjab, India. This historical site links to the events following the Battle of Muktsar in 1705, a significant moment in Sikh history. It is believed that Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, visited this holy place after the battle.
During Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s visit to Chhattiana village, a remarkable event occurred. A Muslim recluse named Peer Sayyad Ibrahim lived there. Inspired by the divine presence of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Peer Sayyad Ibrahim embraced Sikhism and was given the name Ajmer Singh. His conversion to Sikhism at this very site highlights the spiritual influence of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the openness of Sikhism to people from all walks of life.
