Gurudwara Shri Pamaur Sahib

Gurudwara Shri Pamaur Sahib, also known as Gurudwara Patshahi Nauvin, is located in Pamaur village of Fatehgarh Sahib district. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji stayed here for nearly ten days during his journey to Delhi and held a spiritual discourse with Fakir Fazan Shah. He visited the home of Hasana Jat and blessed the villagers for their devotion. Guru Ji also enlightened a renunciant fakir on the virtue of family life. The Gurudwara celebrates major Sikh events including Prakash Purabs and Shaheedi Diwas with deep reverence.

Gurudwara Tham Sahib – Kartarpur

Gurudwara Tham Sahib, located in Kartarpur town of Jalandhar district, was founded by Guru Arjun Dev Ji in 1598. He planted his sandalwood walking stick, or “Tham”, into the ground and declared it the support of the Sikh faith. This very stick is still preserved at the Gurudwara. Maharaja Ranjit Singh contributed significantly to the building of the current structure and its upkeep. Nearby is a historic well called Gangsar, believed to be connected to the Ganga. Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji also visited Kartarpur and fought his final battle here in 1634 against the Mughal forces, defeating the traitor Pendhe Khan.
