Lohgarh Fort, the first fort of Sikhism, was built in 1618 inside Lohgarh Gate, Amritsar. Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, upholding the principles of Miri-Piri, armed the Sikh Panth and established Shri Akal Takht Sahib. In 1629, during the wedding of Bibi Veero, Mukhlis Khan attacked Amritsar, but Guru Sahib led a fierce battle, securing victory. This marked the first war of the Khalsa, inspiring the Sikh community. The fort still preserves the historic Beri tree cannon, a symbol of Sikh resilience.
Located near the Golden Temple, Gurudwara Guru Ke Mahal was built by Guru Ram Das Ji in 1573. It is the birthplace of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and holds significant historical and spiritual value.
