Gurudwara Shikaar Ghat Sahib is one of the most peaceful and historically significant Sikh shrines located near the sacred banks of the Godavari River in Nanded, Maharashtra. Surrounded by wooded hills and scenic natural beauty, this beautiful Gurudwara situated around 6 kilometers from Takhat Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib. A bridge built through kar sewa across the Godavari River connects devotees to this sacred place and adds to its spiritual charm.

This holy site is deeply associated with an important episode from the life of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. According to Sikh tradition, Guru Sahib once came to this area during a hunting expedition (shikaar). During the hunt, Guru Ji shot a rabbit with an arrow. It is believed that the rabbit was the rebirth of Bhai Mula of Sialkot, a devotee who had once accompanied Guru Nanak Dev Ji during his travels.

Historical accounts state that when Guru Nanak Dev Ji once visited Bhai Mula, he hid himself because he feared Guru Ji might take him on another long journey. Although Guru Ji quietly departed, Bhai Mula soon died from a snakebite. Due to his regret and spiritual burden, his soul wandered through various life forms for many years. Finally, Guru Gobind Singh Ji liberated his soul at this very place through the touch of his arrow. Because of this sacred event, the site became known as Gurudwara Shikaar Ghat Sahib.

The present structure of the Gurudwara was rebuilt and beautifully developed during the 1960s and early 1970s by Baba Jiwan Singh and Baba Dalip Singh Kar Sewawale. The architecture of the Gurudwara reflects both spiritual elegance and traditional Sikh design. The sanctum where Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is seated stands in the center of a square hall adorned with white marble walls and glazed tiled ceilings. The entire exterior is covered in shining white marble, giving the Gurudwara a serene and divine appearance.

Today, Gurudwara Shikaar Ghat Sahib remains a sacred destination for Sikh pilgrims visiting Nanded. The peaceful surroundings, historical significance and spiritual atmosphere make this place an important stop for devotees seeking blessings and connection with Sikh history.
