Gurudwara Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib - Railon

Gurudwara Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib in Railon commemorates the sacred visit of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in the year 1670 A.D., during his journey from Anandpur Sahib to Delhi. At the time, the village was suffering from a widespread skin disease that had afflicted many of its residents. Guru Ji arrived and chose to rest under a large banyan tree beside a pond near the village.

Moved by the suffering of the people, Guru Ji placed his feet in the pond and proclaimed that anyone who bathed in this water with faith would be cured of their ailments. From that moment onward, the pond became known for its healing properties, and the site has been revered ever since as a place of divine grace and compassion.

Today, Gurudwara Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib stands at this blessed location, preserving the memory of Guru Ji’s presence and his merciful blessing to the people of Railon. The Gurudwara celebrates the Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the Shahidi Divas of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with great devotion, drawing devotees from surrounding villages and beyond to honor the legacy of selfless service and spiritual healing.
