Gurdwara Charan Kanwal Sahib

The place of Gurdwara Charan Kanwal Sahib Machhiwada is a holy place. Where the tenth Guru of Sikhism, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, after the martyrdom of his two sons and some Sikhs during the historic battle of Chamkaur, leaving the fort of Chamkaur and traveling through thorny bushes, desolate forests, following the orders of five beloved ones. Had reached the forest of Machhiwada. The holy lotus feet of Guru Sahib were bloody, but you were uttering the words while remembering God – Mitr pyare nu haal murid da kehna. From there he came to the forests of Mekwara village. Guru Sahib reached near the well. They drank water from that well and then used the pot used to draw water from the well as a pillow under a Jhad tree to spend the night. That old Jhaad tree is still there. It was at this place that Bhai Daya Singh ji, Bhai Dharam Singh ji and Bhai Man Singh ji, who got separated while walking from Chamkaur Fort, came and met here. When Gulab Chand Masand, a respected brother of Guru Ghar, came to know about the arrival of Guru Dev, he brought Guru ji to his home with respect.
