Gurudwara Pahin Sahib Sachi Manji

Gurudwara Pahin Sahib Sachi Manji is located in the village of Dulchi Ke in Ferozepur district of Punjab. This sacred place holds great historical significance as it is blessed by the visit of the third Sikh Guru, Guru Amar Das.

According to history, Baba Sach-Na-Sach heard about the greatness of Guru Amar Das Ji and came to Goindwal Sahib to seek his blessings. With the grace of Guru Ji, he was relieved of all his sufferings. Guru Ji then instructed him to perform seva, and Baba Ji humbly began serving with great devotion.

During this time, Raja Hari Sen of Haripur Mandi arrived with his family to have the darshan of Guru Amar Das Ji. Guru Ji had instructed that no one should come to the Darbar Sahib wearing ornaments or displaying royal luxury. However, the king’s newly married queen came adorned with jewelry and decorations. When Guru Ji noticed this, the queen suddenly lost her senses and wandered into the nearby forest.

At that time, Baba Sach-Na-Sach was collecting firewood in the forest. The queen would come and sit near him, placing her shawl beside him. Baba Ji prayed to Guru Amar Das Ji for help. Guru Ji blessed Baba Ji with his sacred shoes (Joda) and instructed him to touch the queen’s forehead with them. As soon as Baba Ji did so, the queen immediately regained her senses and was completely cured.

Seeing this miracle, the king and queen returned to Guru Amar Das Ji. Guru Ji was very pleased and performed their marriage ceremony again. Guru Ji then blessed them with the sacred shoes and declared that anyone suffering from madness, hysteria or the bite of a rabid dog would be relieved of their suffering by having the darshan of these holy shoes.

Even today, these sacred shoes are carefully preserved with great respect by the descendants of Baba Sach-Na-Sach, the Mall family, who continue to serve and protect this holy relic.
