Gurudwara Chevi Patshahi Sahib

Gurudwara Chevi Patshahi Sahib in Pilibhit is associated with the Sixth Guru, Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. When Baba Almast sent a message seeking help to free Nanak Mata from the control of the yogis, Guru Hargobind Ji arrived and drove them away. Defeated, the yogis complained to the local ruler, Baaj Bahadur, who angrily set out to confront the Guru. However, upon meeting Guru Ji, he immediately recognized him as the same Guru who had once secured his release from imprisonment in Gwalior Fort along with fifty-two other kings. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Baaj Bahadur fell at the Guru’s feet, begged forgiveness and humbly invited him to his capital, Pilibhit, where he served the Guru with devotion and respect.
