Gurudwara Bilaspur Sahib is located in Bilaspur city of Himachal Pradesh. Bilaspur is situated at a distance of about 60 kilometres from Kiratpur Sahib. It was once the capital of the princely state of Kahilur. In October 1611, Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib ji freed Raja Kaliana Chand and Kunwar Tara Chand from the fort of Gwalior. From the 6th to the 10th Patshah, there were relations with this princely state. Till 1613, Guru Sahib used to reach Bilaspur on all the family occasions of the royal family. Wahiguru punished this family of Bilaspur in such a way that the city of Bilaspur, which had royal palaces, went under 80 feet of water in the ocean built for Bhakra Dam and that ocean was named Gobind Sagar in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Is. Those who did not allow Sikhs to come near the memorial of Guru Sahib, their palace, capital, princely state and family also ended. That Gurudwara may have become a part of Gobind Sagar along with the Shahi Mahal, but the entire Sagar itself has become a memorial of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Sahib. Nowadays, Gurudwara Bilaspur Sahib has been built in the memory of the tenth Patshahi in the newly established city between the upper hills away from old Bilaspur. Its building is new and beautiful and its management is with the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. There are very few houses of Sikhs in Bilaspur, mostly travellers go to Gurdwara Bilaspur Sahib. Apart from this, there are some houses of Sikhs in the small villages situated in the hills on the other side of Bilaspur.
