Gurudwara Attari Sahib is located in the serene village of Kanghrali and holds deep historical and spiritual significance. It is believed that Guru Gobind Singh Ji visited this sacred site during his travels. The village was home to Bhai Nanu Singh, a devout Sikh who had immense respect and love for the Guru.

During Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s visit, Bhai Nanu Singh humbly presented a set of weapons to him. These included a bow (Kaman), twenty-two arrows, two swords, and several pistols. His offering was not only a gesture of devotion but also a symbol of commitment to the Guru’s mission of righteousness and valor.

Gurudwara Attari Sahib now stands as a tribute to this sacred meeting and the deep faith shown by Bhai Nanu Singh. The site is peaceful and spiritual, attracting devotees from the surrounding villages and beyond.

Every year, on the 8th and 9th of Maghar (usually falling in late November), a religious gathering or ‘Sabha’ is organized at the Gurudwara. The celebrations include Nagar Kirtan processions, Kirtan recitations, and a Dewan attended by devotees and local Sangat. These events keep the historical spirit of the place alive and strengthen the community’s spiritual bond.
