Gurudwara Agaul Sahib

Gurudwara Agaul Sahib stands on the sacred site where Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji once stayed for a period of time, blessing the area with His divine presence. This place is deeply revered due to a significant historical and spiritual incident associated with Guru Ji’s visit.

According to tradition, after Guru Ji departed from the village, the standing sugarcane crop suddenly caught fire. An elderly man then sensed and told the villagers that Guru Ji had visited their village but was not given the respect and welcome befitting a great spiritual master. Filled with remorse, the villagers immediately set out in search of Guru Ji and met Him in the nearby village of Dhangira, where they humbly sought forgiveness.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji compassionately reassured them and advised the villagers not to worry. He instructed them to return and crush the burnt sugarcane, assuring them that it would be even sweeter than before. Miraculously, when the villagers followed Guru Ji’s words, the sugarcane juice was indeed found to be exceptionally sweet, strengthening their faith in Guru Ji’s divine grace.

It is also widely believed that the Sarovar at Gurudwara Agaul Sahib is blessed by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Devotees hold deep faith that the holy water of the Sarovar possesses healing and curing powers. Even today, sangat visits this sacred shrine with devotion and reverence, remembering Guru Ji’s compassion, forgiveness, and spiritual blessings that continue to inspire generations.
