Gurudwara Chail Sahib was established in 1907 by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala. It stands as a historic Sikh temple in the serene town of Chail, Himachal Pradesh. Originally built by the Maharaja, the Gurudwara was taken over by the Himachal Pradesh government after the partition of Punjab, with the Department of Art & Culture overseeing its management.

Under the leadership of an appointed caretaker and in collaboration with the Chail Military School administration, the Gurudwara celebrates significant Sikh events like Baisakhi and Gurupurab. In 2014, over 1000 devotees from across North India gathered to celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti, with Langar (community food) served to all attendees.

The Gurudwara is located approximately 200 meters from the main Chail bus station, accessible via a steep road from the Chail post office. Visitors can avail of free overnight accommodation in the dormitory or smaller guest rooms, while the Langar hall serves the community. Volunteers play a vital role in the daily operations, and their contributions are highly encouraged for the smooth running of the Gurudwara.

Currently, Gurudwara Chail Sahib faces the challenge of funding for repairs and maintenance. With limited government support, the management committee and volunteers are actively involved in efforts to ensure the Gurudwara remains a thriving center of spirituality.
