Central Sikh Temple

    Central Sikh Temple is the first Sikh gurdwara in Singapore. Established in 1912, the temple had relocated several times before moving to its current site at Towner Road at the junction of Serangoon Road in Kallang in 1986 near Boon Keng MRT station.

    To reach Central Sikh Temple, Singapore you can use different modes of transportation depending on your location and preferences. Here are several options:

    • By Car: The Central Sikh Temple is located on the crossroads of Serangoon Road and Tessensohn Road. It’s easily accessible by car from anywhere in Singapore, with available parking nearby.
    • By Train: The nearest MRT station is Farrer Park MRT Station (North East Line), which is about a 10-minute walk to the temple. Alternatively, you can also use Little India MRT Station (Downtown and North South Lines), which is slightly farther but still within walking distance.
    • By Bus: There are several bus services that stop near the temple. Bus stops around the temple are along Serangoon Road and Upper Weld Road. The temple is within walking distance from these stops.
    • By Air: The nearest airport is Changi Airport (about 20 km away). From the airport, you can take a taxi or the East-West MRT Line to the city center, and then transfer to the North East Line to reach Farrer Park MRT Station.
