Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji was imprisoned in Gwalior Fort by Emperor Jahangir. On release, he freed 52 kings using a robe with 52 tassels, earning the title Bandi Chhor. Today, Gurudwara Data Bandi Chhor Sahib honors this historic act of liberation.
