Gurudwara Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib - Gurne Kalan
Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji visited village Gurne Kalan during his journey from Talwandi Sabo to Dhamtan. Accompanied by his devoted Sikhs, Guru Ji arrived in Lehra Gaga from Gobindpur. While some Sikhs went to nearby fields to collect grass for their horses, they encountered hostility from the local landlords who, unaware of Guru Ji’s presence, refused them access.
Disheartened, the Sikhs returned and informed Guru Ji of the incident. Without confrontation, Guru Ji chose to quietly depart from Lehra Gaga and proceeded to Gurne Kalan. When the landlords and villagers of Lehra Gaga realized their grave mistake, they followed Guru Ji to Gurne Kalan to seek forgiveness. Guru Ji, after staying in the village for three days, left for Makorar Sahib. Before his departure, he blessed the remorseful residents who had come to apologize.
A Gurudwara now stands in memory of this visit, serving as a reminder of Guru Ji’s humility and forgiveness. The main annual celebration here is the Shahidi Divas of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, observed with deep reverence. Dussehra and Baisakhi are also celebrated with great enthusiasm by the local Sangat and visiting devotees.
